Style - Linus thinks he doesn't have a style. If you go through his portfolio you can see still - lives, portraits, snapshots, and digital and analogue photography. He takes pictures of whatever he sees. He thinks of himself as a amateur with a camera. He thinks that the camera is his favorite medium for his creative ideas. He sees stuff in his head and uses the camera to present it in real life.
Philosophy - He has many different inspirations behind his photos. He doesn't ever think of one idea and take that and put it into his photos. He lives in the moment and takes what he sees. If he does have ideas they tend to be things that everyone can relate to. He is young so he has a younger outlook than some other photographers. He doesn't even consider himself a photographer so he doesn't put in much work to portray an idea or message.
Influence - The photographer influenced my work with the colors in his work. All his contrast was really cool to me. All his work seems very simple but they're very odd objects and shadows. The reason I picked Linus Lohoff was because he used cool colors. The colors were hard to achieve because they are so vibrant.

Compare and Contrast - In the first photo I had to buy new balloons for this project. I used my black t-shirt for the background. I used tape to tape the base of the balloon so the balloon was facing u. We had the clothes pins so I clipped one on. I had to use flash on the camera because the lighting was making the balloon look lighter than it was supposed to. The second picture was really hard with the lighting. I had to get my brother to do it because I couldn't use my hand. We had a little couch in our basement that was baby blue and we used that for the background. We then messed around with the lighting until there wasn't a harsh shadow on the left of his hand. We had to put a light next the his hand on the right. A harsh light over his hand and a softer light on top. The last photo was the hardest. I used the same black shirt for the background. I couldn't find the foam or sponge that was in the professional photo. I got Mr. Clean magic eraser and used food dyed blue water and let it soak in there. While it was soaking i found a jar of marbles downstairs and got a blue, white, and black one. The placement of the marbles was hard because they wouldn't stand still if they weren't in the grooves. They all seem very simple to recreate but in reality they were pretty difficult.
Personal Artist Statement - All my photos are very colorful. They are also very intriguing. They are interesting enough to keep looking at the photo. They bring the viewer in to take a second look. They are bright and unique enough to keep the viewer watching to see what else there is.
